PPND - the Platform for Neolithic Radiocarbon Dates

There exist only two radiocarbon dates from the “mega-site” of Ain Jammam. They suggest two separate occupational phases. However, the deviation of the older date is quite large [+/-190] and therefore it was disregarded. After calibration it would range between 7850 BC and 7300 BC and suggest an early Late PPNB occupation. The more recent date ranges between 7130 BC and 6700 BC and points to the late or latest PPNB/PPNC.
